Product Design

TL;DR

A reimagining of the Samsung Buds app for iOS. Music is one of the most accessible things in people's lives today, and people spend real money on audio gear because they care about what they hear. The app that controls it should feel like it belongs in the same decade.

PROBLEM

Audio apps are stuck. Everything is buried in menus, settings require three taps to reach, and the interface communicates nothing about what's actually happening. For a product people wear in their ears for hours a day, that friction is strange. The hardware has caught up. The software hasn't.

THE WORK

The redesign puts quick controls where they belong: within thumb reach, immediately visible, no hunting required. Sound modes, noise cancellation, equaliser, all surfaced at the top level so adjusting your experience takes one tap, not a journey through settings.

The UI adapts to the colour of your earbuds, creating a visual connection between the physical product and its digital interface. Warm neutrals, balanced spacing, and refined iconography keep the screen easy to read without stripping out personality. Contextual feedback throughout means you always know what state you're in, connected, adjusting, searching, without having to guess.

The goal was an interface that respects how much people actually care about their audio.
